Tuning the eec-iv ecu
For those that are interested in the capabilities of the eec-iv ecu the following zip file contains a GHAJ0 strategy definition file (aka 'def') and the code from a small turbo Escort Cosworth 'ANTI' ecu (aka 'bin' file). You need to use the 'Binary Editor' s/w (available here) to use the definition.
You can only view the various scalars, functions and tables that the ecu has but it gives an idea of the complexity and power of the eec-iv management. For BE2010: GHAJ0 For BE2012: GHAJ0 Enjoy :D PS There is the odd error in the def which is to be expected when reverse engineering an ecu. |

Hi sailorbob,
Is there an updated version of these def and bin files? I'm messing around on Binary Editor 2012 and it reports them out of date! Thanks |
The bin file is independent of the BE version but the definition is for BE2010 only. I have no plans to upgrade the definition in the immediate future.

Hello Sailorbob,
The link seems broken for ghaj0, would it be possible to get a copy please ? |
New links created in the original post.

Hello Sailorbob,
Thank you. Are you doing anything more with GHAJ0 or have you given up on it ? Moates talk about needing a patch code to do logging, does GHAJ0 have the patch code ? http://support.moates.net/ford-guide...ates-hardware/ |
I'm not doing anything more with it. There isn't much else to be done, pretty much every parameter is in there along with the patch code.

Hello Sailor Bob,
Been prodding the DLC/DCL RS485 data port on my COSY EEC-IV that has a GGR chip. With GGR chip it reports CARD, without GGR chip it reports COSY, what do you make of this ? Also both report different 6 digit strategy codes GHAJ0xx, the last two characters are different ? |
The GGR chip is based upon the CARD binary file This is basically the same as COSY but it fixes a bug in the original code that caused improper initialisation of ram variables at power up and it alters some wastegate related parameters. There's also an ANTI bin file out there that just fixes the bug.
The last two digits in appended to the strategy name indicate the calibration. |
Hello Sailorbob,
Thanks. Elsewhere you mention your anti strategy and definition can be used in place of COSY, does it work in both directions for ANTI and CARD definitions under GHAJ0 ? At the moment it spits out MAP and HEGO faults. From your explanation, seems catch code is not a factor. |
Any calibration file from the same strategy can be used with the same definition for that strategy.
|
ok thanks.
