Default ST starting issue

My ST has developed a problem , it fires up no probs and idles but runs really lumpy for a few seconds and then is ok, or you can blip the throttle and it's ok. Also feels like it nearly dies sometimes from cold at junctions.

Any ideas what the cause could be? Air mass flow meter? MAP Sensor?

Cheers

If the problem happens mainly when idling, clutch engaged it can be VSS - vechicle speed sensor, there is some peculiarity in EEC-IV programming that makes them run like shit with this sensor failed.
