t3 turbo on a small turbo escos

Default t3 turbo on a small turbo escos

is it possible too put a t3 turbo on an st escos, my escort needs a new turbo there is currently a (smoking) t28 turbo on it, the car had been rebuilt before i bought it with low comp pistons, is this possible or will it mess it up?

Just get the T28 reconditioned mate, should not be too expensive, try turbo technics, great prices at the moment

yeah i prob will end up doin that, but i just wondered if i would see a difference as i would like a little more out of the car if i could?

Im running a T34 on mine which was a T25, converted it to webber marrelli mangement to run it.

what manifold did you use? the maniold from a large turbo? or kept the small turbo manifold, also did you need too change anything else or just the turbo?

T28 from turbo technics are £550 + vat, T3 (4x4 saff) is £426 + vat.
you can use them on the small turbo manifold but why you have the turbo off it may be worth changing the manifold aswell, the small turbo manifold is restrictive, if you look where the turbo bolts on the hole is a lot smaller than on a 4x4 saff of escos manifold.

is the a difference in the 2wd too the 4wd turbo's? (t3)??

angles are different on a 2wd unit, but can be changed, it may need an actuator bracket aswell.

I had a new T28 turbo for my mine, as it got problems. Got it from TT, hybrid one, bit more power, don't know what they did to it, bigger rota.

Couldnt tell you mate as truly dont know, car was running it when i bought it and still is, doesnt hang around though!
