Escort Front Bumper
I am in the process of resitting my front bumper on my Escort, it appears like its too far forward (step when looking at front side wheel arch - side on) and its tipped forward so the lower splitter is quite low.
I have both the side black keys in place, so I can't see how it will go back some more or tip for that matter.
Has anyone had or got any experience with them that they would share with me.
Thanx

There are two 17mm bolts either side underneath that bolt the bumper to chassis. loosen them and you should be able to move the front bumper forwards and backwards.
There are also to adjustibles under neath the middle of the bumper with torx heads this adjust the height, but do not undo them fully.

Hi there.
Thank you very much for your quick response. Can you be more specific on the whereabouts of the 17mm bolts, are they on edge or inward more, are they clearly visible from underneath, the car is wheel less on axle stands at moment, so access is ok.

If you have the original under tray you will have to remove the front parts and the air dams it to gain access to them. Just follow the chassis rail to the front where they meet the bumper to locate them

Hi all
Ok, the bumper is off to do some cosmetic work on the lower splitter and have a general spring clean behind it as well as change the PAS pump. Thank you to you guys for your guidance, I did manage to lift the front up a bit with the adjusters before I took it off. So again thank you.
One thing I must ask is this, on the sides of the bumper where it locates top and bottom. The top slides into its slot, the bottom had the key that you push and turn to lock. This top slot has a hole through it on the actual bumper and on the chassis, like a fastener should be fitted to hold it in the slot, is this right, cos mine had none.
