If thats your old car....then why has he put the black handles back in, but yet coloured the splitter??

Looked nicer on the Rondells and how you had it IMO!!!

this is mine

best thing about having these wheels is the way people have to read the tyre size to realise why they look so different!

PewteRS 13-07-2008 04:25 PM

They are nice but overpriced IMO

L33 BYT 13-07-2008 05:25 PM

What sort of money are you looking at for these.

Gary F 13-07-2008 05:39 PM

Defo over priced!

cosworth3d 13-07-2008 06:48 PM

Would love a set of these but would it go over a set of AP brakes ?

escosworth1 13-07-2008 08:35 PM

i agree, and its rumoured they havent been tested or carry any standard quality testing certificate etc.

if i make sense - unsure how to word that

R5COS 13-07-2008 08:54 PM

i was so close to buying these but on reflection im glad i didnt, they are 1395 green queens plus VAT without tyres  and i came accross 3 reasons why i wouldnt part with my hard earned for them,

Bullett 14-07-2008 07:17 AM

lovely but for me,too expensive, untested(which may not be a prob),and the dish isnt deep like the original.more like the mondeo si rim than escy

shame as they are nice.but i'll stick with my old mo thanks;-);-)

MONSTER 14-07-2008 11:53 AM

As above, I very nearly bought a set but the dish isn't in proportion with the wheel and you need to fit spacers to clear AP's

cozzfather 14-07-2008 02:54 PM

if me memory serves me right the geezer making them or i should say selling them has got a well known wheel manufacturer to produce these wheels.
if you make wheels for a living then these 18" ones should not fall apart.
i wouldn't worry about this tested wheel stuff unless they come out of a shed
with no warranty.

IIRC they come with a 12 month manufactures warrenty!??

I agree that the dish isnt in proportion, hence why i didnt go for them plus the PRICE

G1EN 15-07-2008 05:39 PM

I really liked them when they first come out and still do now, but just dont think they look right on the car for some strange reason. Most probably the proportion of the dish like you say and i think the spoke looks too thin.

Gotta give it to the guy who actually made them though.

considering the originals are 16x8 , the 18's would need to be 18x10 if not 11 to keep the dish in proportion, shame as they would look much nicer with a deep dish, and not like over-sized si wheels .

Unless somthing spectacular comes along I still think Rondell 122's are THE best wheels for an escos, end of story :top::poke::blabla:
