Damm irish goverment
Payed the VRT import tax last friday for my irish number plates 4950.00euros damm rip off but had no choice if i didnt customs could lift the car on me so it wasnt worth the chance.. bloody sore dough its a s%it load of cash for nothing.

the goverment set the price if i said i bought the car for a grand they would still charge their own % of their book value......

Regarding them taking a % of book value, wouldnt you be better off valuing it at their 'book value' yourself though, as their 'book value' would be some ridiculously low figure like Ł7k-Ł8k for an A1 escos no doubt, so youd save a fair bit?

I got caught for 4,500 euro bout 2 years back. 30% of what them thieving bastards value your car at. Well all I'll say is vote NO in the upcoming referendum and fook up their cosy jobs a little!!
