WRC Front Bumper and RS500 Intercooler OWNERS PLEASE LOOK!!
Hi Need a bit of Help i know there are a few Escos owners on here that have WRC front bumpers that Run RS500 intercoolers
If its not to much trouble i need a measurement from the intercooler to the back of your bumper like in the picks
if you could get a measurment from the rad to bumper that would be even better as im trying to work out how much room i have for a Wide mouth intercooler like this one
I dont think it is as Efficient as a big RS500 intercooler so i want to have a custom one made thicker like the lines show
I dont want the big Gaps that you get with the 500cooler and if the WRc one fills the whole mouth of the bumper i can only see this being a good thing, anyone else intrested in one of these please contact me as we may be able to get a discount on more than 1
cheers
Ben

Ben, your artistic drawings are second to none mate
people, gladly correct me if im wrong, but doesnt a WRC intercooler only sit at the bottom of the bumper anyway, filling that gap etc?
would this be an option for you if you could get one made or sourced?

piss taker
they do only sit from top to bottom and left to right about the size of the WRC mouth BUT!!
in all picks i have seen there is a gap from the Face of the intercooler to the actual back of the bumper, this is what i want measured as if it is 2 inches then the intercooler can be made a whole 2 inches thicker overall.. comprendo

Lowman Hi, i know that radtec do them but i need to know the measurement from the radiator to the back of your bumper so i can get a thicker one made so it can flow more air and cool the temps more than a stndard one

I've just spoken to Radtec about this and have been told the proper WRC cooler has a special aerospace core and it will be no benefit in going thicker if a gen core is used, Tommy Field uses them on his car and you can't get better. The cores have limited numbers, hence mines been reserved.
But if you use the industry std core ie like the ones use for the RS500 yes thicker could be better.
If you want a gen cored one they are old stock so the cores have been stored for years as they are no longer used hence the technology V price so might have a little bump or dent in the fins.
let me know if you want to order one

So what you saying dan you can have me one made in the old style core yes?
and even with the new cores that are used today it still wont matter this is the core to have if your having this intercooler setup yes?
Can you not get a thicker one made form the old style core for even more flow?
cheers dan

Yes I can have them made with the old cores at the moment.
Yep these cores were cleared out when some regs or something changed, they are the same maker that does the cores for konninsegg cars.
The cores are handmade some different design that increases the ability to loose the heat quicker, aerospace tech etc, said they were 7k new
they are pre cut so you'd be doubling the price if you wanted to do that, but was told they are a different league to "normal" cores so not nes. And Tommy Field hasn't asked for it to be done for his car.
I'll get the name of the core manuf and google it to see what comes up.
Or if you want to order give me a call on the number below.
