I have also discovered this. ALL the aftermarket TCA suppliers use the same cheap arms as basis of their conversions, and the ball joints on these are half the size of the Ford items, and it is these that wear out very quickly (3-6 months of hard use ). After experiencing the same problems as Euan (but note quite so short a mileage ), I have now had a new standard set modified and they seem to be lasting much longer .

My cars on Alans ramp waiting on a set. He was hoping to get them last week, although I have a pair of unused Compbrake ones I'm waiting on Alans.
The fact that you will be able to put spacers in if your car is lowered really appeals to me, as you will be able to get the TCA angle back to its correct angle with a lowered car.

Hi Euan
its all that power Alans given me, the water bottle flew out of its clips and landed on the inner splash guard, which buckled and rubbed on the tyre and wore a whole in it (splash guard not the tyre lol).
Did Alan show you the new wheel arch splash guard, another good Ł124.00 wasted at Ford.

Nah but gordy and Dave were hard at when I saw them...

It looked quite an akward job actually.

Alan has told me a few times that your car is very quick on the road...will need to get a wee shot in it

Hi Euan
ordered a new one from Ford and it won't fit, all the holes are about 1/4 inch out. the old one fits exactly inside the new one. You would think that someone had used the outer skin of an original one as a mould to make it.
After Gordy and Dave had a right good go at it, Alan rang me and we decided to put a patch in the old one.

Will get in touch in the summer for a meet, and give you a wee hurl. Not got as much ooomph as yours but pulls from really low down.
