Default drive shaft grease what type ???

when im putting the drive shafts back in is there a special type of grease for this job or is it ok to use molly grease also how much do i put in do i totally fill them up or leave some room in there pic shows them as they are now i wanna take all this old grease out and put in new as they have been laying around for ages, im asking as ive never had driveshafts out before so i dont know

I'd try a Motor factors type place, I'd of thought it wasn't the normal grease but don't know for sure. I've got some spare if you need it.

Also got a brand new joint if you need a pic to see what it should look like new if it helps.

Im putting Castrol LM lube grease in mine and plenty of it, some in the joints and some in the cups on the rear diff that the joint opens into.

Just enough without being too much mate

I thought it was always standard Graphite grease, dark grey colour.

Hello Mate

I worked on Vauxhalls for 10 years and we always used graphite grease. Whenever you buy a driveshaft boot from the dealer they always came with a big tube of grease in the bag. I've got a load of spare tubes in the garageas you never needed a whole one!

Looking at the picture it looks like graphite grease in your shaft.
