Default Take the plunge?

Hello chaps.
Just after a bit advice........

Im thinking of getting rid of my FRS and Joining you Escort lads. Thing is, im not sure what the best thing to do is.

Im not as good with the spanners as some of you and im a bit worried about costs and things if i buy a wrong 'un!
I've got about 16k to play with but dont know if I should go to my max, or get a cheaper one and keep a little aside for problems and a few mods of my own??
Im sure you lot would keep me right but what would your experience say I should do?

Any help/advice etc would be greatly appreciated
Cheers!

Depends on how fussy and to what standard you want your Esc Cos to be

£16K won't buy concours but it will be a good'un

£14K will buy an average wear and tear

£10K+ is a mine field but good ones can be found if your prepared to do the millage and look at a lot

Duncan at Automotive Unlimited and John Taylor both seem to source an unbelievable amount of mint cars.

I think £16K should get you a nice example, just make sure you do your homework and take your time.

I'm not too handy with a spanner myself so I took advantage of any help that I could get. A number of very knowledgeable people on here looked at cars with me or on my behalf.

That £16.5K Aubergine one on here seems a very nice car for the money in my opinion.

They're not for standard, mint, low mileage examples!

To be honest mate I don't think they're dropping much if at all for any kind of example, and the prices certainly aren't falling fast.
