Ford or msport never did a specific loom for the WRC car, there were too many variations, we have 3 basic looms in the car, each removable individually, the main car loom, lights fuel pumps, accessories, indicators etc, then the engine overlay loom, then the diff loom. The engine looms were generally made by pectel, the car and diff looms were made by a company near boreham and later in house at Msport....

Ryan's looms are every bit as good as all of these....

And the genuine ones out of the proper cars would have cost a few grand....

I need the main Car loom, having problems with the wires for the fuel injection (ECU - Fusebox).

My m8 is thinking that it could be wired through the standard vector immobilisor and the cercuits are given way 1 by 1 if that makes sense.

A m8 has half a WRC loom, but now knowing that the loom is in 3 parts, im pretty sure he has the engine part as WRC.

I & a m8 are going to try and get around replacing the whole loom, but if i get impaitent and it keeps happening, then i will shed out for a whole new loom.

I wish I could replace the loom for the headlights / indicators. Had nothing but aggro with bloody wiring on this car.

I never really considered the security aspect as all the looms we have are for competition. The fuel injectiion wiring problems you describe briefly sound like a replacment of the standard engine loom would go a long way in curing you problem. The engine loom, even on the standard car is nigh on a seperate entity and can be replaced with a loom, like the versions Ryan does, from the ECU outwards into the engine bay. The interactions into the main car loom can be done relatively easy.

Regards

Ian
