Default Water in drivers foot well ???

My escos is usually garaged at my house but has been sitting outside for about a week while my bro's 3 door is in getting a bit of a tidy up. When i opened my escort today i found quite a bit of water in the drivers foot well. Where the fuk has that came from and has anyone else had experience with this?? It has been raining up here but nothin to heavy.

And before anyone asks ... yes the windows were fully up

Any help much appreciated folks

I had the same prob - would only happen after a downpour.
Turned out there's a grommet by the wiper motor that was letting water in... - sealed it up, and its been fine since...

Noticed this on mine tonight but in right hand side corner underneath the rear light, turns out theres a piece of greyish hose that runs through the rear pillar into a vent/catch tray with a flap on that s covered by the corner of the rear bumper, some how the hose wasnt in this vent catch tray thing and had pissed out everywhere into the boot, im not surprised at how wet it was given the fookin rain i got caught in on the M6 on way back from show yesterday
