Default Attention Owners of Escort Cos wasted spark converted cars..

Hi,

Just a few quick and easy questions...

What bracket did you use to mount your coil pack? pics?

Where did you mount it? pics?

What leads did you use and how did you route them to the coil pack? pics?

What spark plug gap do you now run?

Many thanks,

Gavin

easy -
Bracket from fusion, although I'm going to get him to make another - probably in a similar style to Paul's as the holes don't quite line up wit the original coil bolts.

Mounted in the original coil position.

Leads bought from MSD as part of the kit.. -

Plug gap - currently at 0.7.

Cheers

Rich

i made a custom ally bracket that used the original bolts - so no drilling of the wings was necessary

Thanks for your pictures & info.

I will have to sort out a bracket of some kind and will look at the Fusion one.
I will have to get some motorsport leads as my current ones will be too short.

Diva yours is very neat, and looks good, although I will aim to get the coil pack in the standard place if I can.

PS anyone got a good second hand front deflector for sale?

Thanks,
Gavin

I assume the suppressor is for stop interference on your radio? I again assume that using a coilpack has no interference?

correct as there is no arcing on the system other than at the plugs which are already quite well earthed

Gav, it's not that your leads will be too short, it's that they won't fit on the oil-pack, as it has different connectors (I do the leads ).

Here's mine:

The iginition amplifiers (when I needed such things ):

Nope, the coilpack connectors are TOTALLY different - you can see in the photos that I put up - now go look at your ones .
