hi peeps, well i bought my car a month or so back, and the lad i got it off said it would need setting up, its running grey injectors, rs500 intercooler, uprated T34, uprated fuel pump, uprated actuactor grp a head gasket, these are all i can think off at the minute. But he said the car was running collins software

the problem is i am booked into MSD in blackpool for them to have a play with it, but i have the ecu out and open to have a look wat was in, and i found this:








could someone please identify wat ecu this is and roughly wat chip it might be

any help would be appreciated

P8 ecu ( standard in Large turbo escort) the chip does say that it is for greys and a 3 bar map sensor. Never seen a Collins chip so couldn't say if it was one of their's or not. HTH

I wouldn't of thought using a different chip would help unless it was for the same spec as you currently have. Took mine to Stu and can honestly say the car was transformed when i got it back.

STU is a top top man IMO, he certainly knows his stuff, and tells you straight.
Be prepared for a big smile when he sorts your car, the difference between a superchip and a live map from him is night and day.

not to sure about grey injectors but with the evo chip and 340bhp, green injectors are more than upto the job. mine is on stu's evo chip with greens and standard turbo and it made 358 bhp on the rollers and 354 lb/ft of torque. i would have thought using greys now the power would be more than 340bhp.

so wat are the stages for injectors and that then, as i aint to sure myself, i take it greens, then drak green, greys then blacks or something????

That chip has 403 on it which is either grey or blue injectors (can't remember).

Injectors in order of size starting from smallest first.

Standard and stage 1 is yellow (2wd) and blues (4x4).
Stage 2 is light greens (no longer used).
Stage 3 is dark greens (MSD's stage 2).
Light blues.
Greys.
Blacks 55lb.
Blacks 83lb.
