He's also selling some 'escort cosworth' interior thats actually RS200 interior. Bonnet may have been off a replica.

bigpower 20-04-2007 09:10 PM

Its a bit vague as it states Ecos trim, but then quotes

THIS WAS ORIGINALLY FROM A GERMAN REG LHD ESCORT ( NOT COSWORTH )THEREFORE DRIVERS SEAT HAS HARDLY BEEN SAT IN

I'll see , as im off for the bonnet tomorrow morning

My bonnet has been painted before and its not a nice job ( only bit of the car that has tho ) and it has ripples along the front, which will need sorting.
You know how fussy i am, so i prefere to put a mint bonnet on and get it painted.

I think im going all BUFTY again tho

Just setting off to barrow, so will see what the crack is with the car it came off :D

Paul,
The Monte was a Big T JV! He apparently owned it for 11 years and the car had covered 14k. It had a factory leather option in black leather ( so he said ). It was well messed with underbonnet and he was doing a few bits here and there with the bonnet of when it caught fire!

It was a total loss  and this was a good few years ago....

TBH the bonnet if far better than my old :D one but the stone chips on it tell me more 40k than 14k.

bigpower 22-04-2007 09:49 AM

Emailed the seller of that bonnet

This was the reply

hi the car was originally stolen when virtually brand new and i bought the bare bodyshell in jewel violet so i built it up with a 500 bhp engine big brakes coil overs etc in 1994 and just kept it as a toy and tracked it a few times eventually got sick of the rough ride and started turning it back to standard and bought a caged shell for all the fast bits unfortunatly the new engine caught fire in the lakes and had to stand and watch it burn with a crowd of tourists for 20 mins before trumpton got to what was left ,in answer to your question i never found out what number it was as i only got the shell but the reg was M877HVP so you might already have it on your register will send a picture when i find one
