crank pulley removal tools.......
puller for crank pulley removal , where can i get one??? who does em??
cheeRS , dug. |
you can do one yourselft..
Juste take a plate (steel or alloy) drill a big hole in the middle for the wrench and three all to match the threads in the pulley weld a piece of pipe (1m) on the side to hold it. you can bolt it on the pulley to unscrew/torque the bolt. then you can use it as a puller using a plat to close the center hole and pushing on the crank bolt. Do you see what I mean? |
either that, or e-bay - there is a kit that does just the job! - do a search for cosworth pulley!

The UNIVERSAL pullers are way too large to go in if the engine and all the stuff is still in the way, ebay for £25 sell them, but easy to make just not worth the hassle really, check first that your pulley DOES HAVE EXTRACTOR HOLES IN IT THOUGH.

If there is enough space ?, to get the pulley off without removing the rad etc, then there is enough space to use one of the small pullers as on ebay, if holes are there, I beleive but not 100% sure all escy have them.

I bought one of ebay, best £25 you'll spend and saves alot of time and messing about trying to make your own.
You will have to drill out the bolt holes to 9mm and buy some M8 x 35 cap bolts to suit an escort. To make life easier I found it best to remove the fans to gain more room. |
cant find owt on e-bay like!?!?!?!? :wall:
