Default ABS

Will my car still have ABS with 6 pots on it? We were talking about it the other day and ive never even thought about it before.

why wouldnt it? mine has 6 pots up front and 4pots on rear,as far as im aware my abs is perfect

Thats what i thought, although ive never had to use them hard enough to find out. Its just a few mates seem certain that it wont have abs connected anymore.

ABS is nothing at all to do with discs or calipers, it works by sensing a ring around the driveshafts in the hub area, as these have not been removed(?) it is still there and functioning, good job as it is part of the MOT.

Back in the day it use to be the norm to disconnect the ABS on big brake setups, or at least put in a switch to turn it off or On.That might be what they mean. I don't think its the done thing anymore for good reason.
