Default Removing and fitting front bumper...- Which bolts...

HI guys, I've got a question on how exactly you are suppsoed to remove the front bumper...
Acording to this thread : https://passionford.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=228767 there seems to be 2 ways of doing it? - I've removed it as per the ford workshop manual (or at least i think I have???) by undoing the 2 bolts that are under the front of the bumper, and accessible front the front of of the car without jacking it up... - Although on the thread above, these are height adjustment bolts??? - Indeed, they will adjust the height of the bumper as you do them up, but are there other bolts that I should have removed? - Here is a pic of the front of the car as it is:

(and I have a horible feeling that this rapidly going to go from a quick tidy up to a front end overhaul - can't think of anyone who has done the same eh! - oh well, roll on fitting my new bells, and quip! )

Has anyone got any comments/ can advise on the correct way? - On all of the pic's I've seen there are not the 2 little bars sticking out at there are on mine where the "adjustment" is??

Also, is there a certain trick to re-fitting the bloody thing? - Unless i'm being completely usless its a complete ball ache of a job to try and do on your own....??

Cheers,

Rich

the best way is to remove the bolts that are under the car on the box frame, you undo one off the bolts from each side and remove then the other 2 you just need to undo as they will slide out, as i said in the other thread mate

When i had mine off i never touched the adjusters. There are 4 bolts that hold the adjuster bars on, just loosen the frontal ones and remove the rear ones and then its just the twist butterfly things under the lights and it will slide off. (disconnect the lights obviously)

Ritye then - so it looks like i've undone the hight adjusters then! - Looks like the Cossie workshop manual is about as clear as mud - esp. as they tell you to remove the bolts that sit behind the number plate too! - Marvelous!

Cheers for the info guys!

NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Not the height adjusters! I messed mine up taking it off that way and my bumper sat shit ever since. I had to get Andy to weld new brackets on, so be carefull when putting them back on, they're a pig to do...

Righty then guys - i've stripped the bar pretty mcuh as far as I need to before I start fitting all of my new bits, and i've re0fitted the bumper properly - thankfull the hight adjustment botls were ok! - Just out ofr interest, can you get new "bumper bars" or whatever you want to call them?- i'd like to get some for the wrc bumper rather than going through the hastlel of changing them over...
