Default front driveshaft solutions

im just trying to guage interest and IF there would be a potential for a long term solution to the breakage of the front driveshafts/joints on the 4wd versions.

we have been speaking to a well known drive train manufacturer about the posibility of making a front pair of shafts and a new crosshaft to eliminate the inner tripoid joints as the group a/wrc cars had but to fit std front suspension and front diff.

i dont want a list of people who want this as i havent commited to any manufacturing yet, but, how much would you pay to have the front driveshaft problems cured once and for all ??
i dont want anyone who thinks this is going to happen for £50 because it isnt.
i would be talking new cross shaft, new shafts, new inner lobro joints, and new (if possible bigger) outer cv joints/boots where applicable to std front hub spline.

would you pay... up to £500, up to £750 ???? etc etc
or am i just dreaming on here ?

I thought there was a place in Luton who'll make you a set of longer driveshafts for well under that price mate, the figures going around were £200.00

As the only problem that i know of is the shaft popping out! Again not too sure.........

Someone did put up contact details for the place in Luton once

Both my shafts were broken, they rebuilt them using new CV joints and even changed the shaft for the longer XR4x4 type. Only cost about £150 and had them ready to bolt in within a few days.

When I got them back they looked brand new, I couldn't really see any parts that they had reused!

My front shaft shattered on the spider. Would manufacture of these drive shafts you mention get rid of the spider and any other week points then. I think once i go bigger power with quaife box and diffs then i would certainly purchase some. it would launch like a mother

longer shafts do not eliminate the problems that are inherantly inner joints strength and shaft strength.

yes the inner spider (tripoid) would be replaced for a lobro ( as in whats on the rear shafts)
