Im the 10th owner of mine. 1995 M Reg. 10 in 12 years. Some people only own them months though just to say theyve had one.
I wonder.......Can you check somewhere how long each previous owner has had the car for?

I beleive you can write to the dvla for information on previous owners, so i assume all the dates will be given too. I think theres a small charge of about £5 to cover admin costs.

yes you can mate its a dvla job used to cost a fiver and for that they
sent copies of every logbook the car had issued,and the original
application for a v5 which shows the Ford dealer what supplied the
car
just phone the dvla to check or have a peep at their website

oh and mine had 2 owners in Germany, one the supplying
Ford dealer for 7 years and 2 in the uk

Thanks for all replies. Just wonderd how often these cars change hands.
I agree how many owners does not bother me nor does mileage its how well they have been looked after that matters. mines done just over 100k and was far better than some with half that mileage.

Mine was registered in Koln in May '96, in Henry-Ford-Strasse ie Ford Germany. The next owner was the Ford dealer just outside Saarlouis that sold the car to the bloke I bought the car from. So that's 4 then. Sort off. If the 1st 2 weren't just some scam to get the numbers up for homogolation purposes etc. Or it got used 1st as a press demo/works hack & then got pumped out into the dealer network.

The 1st owner had it for 11 months, the second for 13 months, the 3rd from 97 to 2002 & me since then.

Good thread Dave im agree, being the 10th owner doesnt bother me one bit either,with 71k on when i bought it it was better than some with 20k less!!!....seems mines a high owner compared to most so far! It was clean when i bought it and its getting better

true but anybody selling a high owner car runs the risk of
people intending on buying it making judgement before actually
seeing it
