bumper insert / wing stickers - Despatch Update 25th August
Hello All 
This is something thats been bugging me ever since i bought my car!!! while its in bits i thought i'd look at some of the little niggly bits and see if i can sort them........however this tape stuff is proving VERY elusive!!! my local ford parts dealer laughed at me (again)!!!!!
Have any of you guys ever bought/seen it? if not what have you used if youve ever had to? Im not bothered if it isnt genuine ford but looks factory.

Im pretty sure its a sticker of some sort. Ive heard some people just paint them satin black. Might be a good idea to try and have one made up if you can make a good template.

Im liking radmans idea of the template, i'll make one up then go round local graphic suppliers to see what they have. Failing that the satin black/textured paint option will be a good option too.
The annoying thing is that you just know that somebody somewhere will have loads of parts/accessories like this tucked away somewhere!!!

Pewters: Im going to do just that!!!....great minds think alike. As long as i can get near enough OE spec vinyl then i'll get plenty made up.

in the rear bumper the part that is usually black, some people paint over it when the bumper gets resprayed or if someone wants to colour code it..
however IMO makes it look CRAP, so there trying to get it black again

PewteRS: yes mate we certainly will!!! i cant view the close up as not in the rs owners club ...........yet!
ok guys, i really need in order to get these made up to a good standard some close up pics of the right hand side recess of the bumper and the other side near the exhaust,does it stop on the face of the recess or go down the side of the tailpipe towards the front of the car?And if at all possible a close up of the tape so i can try and match the pattern/texture of it. I realise this may not photograph too well but any pic thats reasonable would help
ive spoken to a guy today who supplies graphics to work and hes ordered me some black vinyl samples so im making progress! if the weathers ok i'll take a template this weekend.

I could ask my mate who makes the Monte and OZ racing decals as he would spend some proper time getting it right (he knows what a fussy bastid I am )

Thanks Radman! i'll get template done tomorrow now, im sure between myself,Paul and PewteRS we'll get some of these done. Its such a simple part to get back from the dead!!!..........and maybe i'll sell some to the ford dealers all round the uk who laugh at us when we ask for these sort of parts!!!

MADRST: I think at some point in its life my car has had a full respray and as such was never put back as original in the rear bumper.
