Cheap Escort Cosworths - LHD though
http://www.mobile.de
then select ford, then escort, then type cosworth
The 1 with the Martini stripes for 12,000€uro - that can't be original on a road car surely? Compare with the 1 for 95,000€uro - the ex-works Grp A car (ie the 1 that makes a mockery of the thread title).
Note - am NOT involved with selling this car or any of the others on this site.

I know that "martini" Escort.
It's just a normal T35 Lux Escort Cosworth, not an original Martini.
JP Cars www.cosworth.nl bought that car in Italy, it was a brick. So he sold it back to someone in Italy.
The company in Italy couldn't sell the car (was over an year for sale), because it was in that bad shape. And they sold it to Autoservice Ehrle.
If you are interested: DON'T BUY THAT CAR

I paid 9200€ for mine (about 5600pounds) accident free, but a few scratches...
the German, Austrian, Italian.... cars are in general not as good as the UK cars! but way cheaper!
If someone want's to buy an Austrian car or needs a english-german translation, i might help you...

It's not just Cossies you can buy cheaply in Bolzano/Bozan. The area seems to supply some of the cheapest LHD Mitsubshi EVOs as well. Perhaps if you park the cars homogolated in their thousands next to the cars that took that homogolation onto the World Rally scene the road cars look somewhat mundane.
I take it we all noticed the Lancia 037 & Stratos in the background around the Grp A Escort? & the ex-works Abarth Strada/Ritmo?
& Mr Magoo 69, there's just a sporting chance that by the time you can afford to insure/buy/run 1 all the prices will have dropped to this level. You'll get their faster if you avoid wasting 000's on an ultimately worthless copy though. Just a thought.
