Q about charge culler’s upgrade
Does someone use any CHARGECOOLER UPGRADE KIT like this one:
?
What are the opinions?
Or is it more reasonable to buy RS500 type cooler?
I want to avoid increasing lag.

you will only benefit by upgrading the charge cooler if you do a lot of traffic or 1/4 mile driving / races.
the 500 cooler is the best option and will be needed at high boost levels.
the lag should not increases to a notable level and should make it more responsive....
the 500 cooler only works when you are moving ( which is most of the time !! )
get one you wont regret it !!!

Ive got the GRS upgrade kit on mine
http://www.grsmotorsport.co.uk/escor...gecoolers.html
(thats a picture of my car there too as it used to belong to Graham who runs GRS )
I've got no problems with the kit, but am upgrading to a ProAlloy 500 spec wideboy jobbie ready for when the power levels are increased.... - I'm only running stage 1 at the moment

Dave, this uses water which isnt near boiling point so the cooler is more efficient plus it has a pre rad to help cool the water

Ok! I guess I didn't give enough info.
Now I have 1.7bar ( 25pci) boost and I can make such a device by myself.
I wonder if such kit would be good enough for this power (about 330bhp).
But I'm planing to install 403 inj-s, chip, turbo (by the way, which one whould you recommend for 430-450bhp with good response) and so on.
This way have I change I/C or my upgrated cooller would be enough?
Thanks a lot!

did 150 miles in mine yesterday, and gave it some stick too, charge temps never went above 22 i know it was a cold day but think this set up is still a choice for stage 3-4
