Bonnet release cable-where does it go?

After putting the bits back in the bay I am not convinced that the bonnet release cable is in the same place as before?
Has anyone got a pic of how it runs by the air box or a good description please :top: :top: :top: :top:

Hi Matcos

Have a look at this escort cosworth on ebay, its only done 27k and never been touched, you can see the bonnet release cable quite clearly on this one.

Looking at some concours ones it seems different-does it go on the turbo side of the air box or the wing side :? :? :?

dunno :? noticed this one last night though checking fleabay for prices(not to buy or sell just for reference) and remember thinking how it looked nice for 27k miles.

Wing side IMO IIRC

it comes through the b/head,down between the heatshield and inner wing then up and through the slam panel :DD: if you are using orig airbox then try and thread it under the bracket on the inner wing

Nick it seems to be a tight bend from the clip on the slam panel to then run alongside the right hand side of the airbox is this right?
I need to change it soon as it is almost impossible to open the bonnet at the moment, I have a new one but want to make sure it is run correctly so it is nice and easy to pull and doesn't break the handle. Again

post some pics of how you intend to run it :top:
