Depending on the software you sometimes never get a full reading from 0 to 100%, but your readings to seem a little off. What software are you using, some need calibrating to set the closed and fully open positions.

Antilag works by opening up a (usually) modifed ISC valve and retarding the ignition, you can expect the idle revs to rise. Best to ask whoever did your software what is normal.

IF you are using a Pectel Monitor the percentage you are talking about is actually degrees and should only read up to about 85degrees with the pedal all the way down.

The ALS/idle speed valve gets charged when you turn the ignition on causeing the valve to blip when first turned on. You can combat that by having a on/off switch for the ALS and the ALS valve

Fraser (PROMETHEUS) made me a simple mini loom with switches to do this ignore the single pole switch as that was for a manual fuel pump

were using the superchips pro screen?
we also made the loom up could it be a bad earth???
hang on why have you got two switches weve been told to use pin 14
and earth to battery and a switch inbetween
and thats it is this correct???appreciate the help!!

By switching pin 34 you turn the ISCV off which stops the initial blip when you turn the car on. So basically if you have a double pole switch to pin 14 and 34 as per the diagram you basically switch the ECU on into ALS mode and turn the Valve on at the same time.

Hang on! I'm assuming you are running a P8?

ianshad6 29-11-2006 09:47 AM

yes im using the P8
so we need to rewire???? how much was your loom?

Rippers 29-11-2006 09:49 AM

Yes you will need the extra switch on pin 34 if you want to stop the initial blip on start up

PM PROMETHEUS and he will give you a price :top:
