Default upgrade from dark greens

Ok currently on dark greens, low comp Dyno'ed at 345 BHP 330lb ft torque. Just wondering is it worth going to light blues /greys. Cost needs to be considered, as well as driveability. Car only gets used 6 mths of the year. Don't track day the car so looking for a fast road set up. Thoughts and comments.

I'd say light blues. I had them on my old one and it was fine Greys are thirsty buggers

Hi Mate....

I was in the same situation as you and I went 1000cc rc injectors mapped on a level 8 by Karl Norris. My injectors are massively oversized for my engine spec but I was getting fed up having to buy new ones evey time I upgraded something else!!! I should be ok for a while now 750cc would have been more than enough for my future plans but I got carried away!!!!

Anyway back to the car.......If you go down this route you will destroy your gearbox (if its still standard) I am very mechanically sympathetic and my one lasted about a week...I hit a small bump (and i mean very small) when i was accelerating hard which loaded the transmission and broke the box big style..... I have just fitted a Quaife box and 6 paddle ap clutch to cope. (hopefully). The car is amazing for a standard spec engine (cometic head gasket , breather +normall stage 3 tune items) so i would really recomend it but it does change the way the car drives i.e nosiy gearbox , clutch not so user friendly....

Hope this helps

Cheers Malc
