mine's a small turbo with stage 1 upgrades - coming from a past of scoobs/mr2's/Supra's etc... i have always put optimax (now v-power) but its just today as i took my rs for a spin (1st time in 2 weeks) went to a shell garage and a chap was putting v-power in his Impreza...

anyway as he was filling up asks me 'is it a proper one..?' i'm like ehhhh anyway as i fill up with v-power he advises me to put normal unleaded as ONLY jap imports require v-power and the cossy is uk car designed for uk fuel so doesn't REALLY need high octane...

anyway i say ok mate - thanks for that and carry on filling up with v-power

(think he was jealous as all the kids in the nearby carpark were pointing and admiring my cossy and not his impreza )

late cossies can run on normal unleaded petrol but once they have been modded,engine wise, its better t run then on the higher octane fuel,more the better too.

he was right what he was saying though.

I used optimax- v-power all the time. I have just put TESCO,S 99ron in.

My mate,s have been using it for a while, they both have 400+ bhp and they run spot on, and i,ve been out in mine seem,s ok.

V Power is only 94.9p at my local shell garage, have seen it upto £1.09 though!!!
