I tryed to attach it to the innerwing to, and it worked VERY vell to. Fittet with a small suitable size o-ring under the custom bracket, to prevent damage to the innerwing

Its very stable Jan, but then the heatshield is not the toughest of material. Imqagine all the forces being pushed through a hole on the side of probably the weakest part of the heatshield.
I'll see if i have any pic's of the mess it made of mine!
As Kelv said, its rigid enough on the other 2 fixings!

hows about using the bracket but putting a y shape at the top so the bracket holds the sheild rather than bolting to the sheild??? then just put some v thin foam in the y not to damage the shield then would only need bolt loosening to swivel the bracket out the way
