Default Fitting Mk1 Cortina boot seal

Hi there,

Did the Mk1 Cortina come with 2 different kinds of boot seal? I notice on some pictures via google some have the seal on the car body edge, however others have the seal on the actual boot panel edge?!?! I bought a seal via Ebay and it seems to be the body edge type but I cant work out how it fits.

Anyone help?
