got a ticket off the filth today,doing 42 in a 30 ,does this only carry three points or might it be more??

I was 18 (25 now) and to be honest I dont believe the copper as I came off a rounabout behind a 3 series flashed him out the way and gunned it.

Didn't get out of 2nd in my AXGT and started breaking when I saw the lovely coppers and they're bikes and speed guns
I think more 40 ish to be honest but who argues with plod when they only have 6 points to play with as a new driver.

Either way I DO speed- I try not to in 30's etc and generally watch my speed on most roads as I do 50k a year and could do with keeping my license however the fact remains I do speed and although it isn't somet to go boasting about and be proud about it is a fact.

Unft the gov't are trying to make speeding a socially unacceptable crime just the way Drink driving is. (obv I have no qualms about condeming that)

hmmm i think that very much depends on the road in question.. i know a road in basildon, essex which has no walkways on it. no near houses.. has fields oneside and highsided mound on the otherside.. its dead straight for about a mile or more and thats a 30..

youd do at least 40 easy on their and not even think about it

didnt get dangerous driving tho, but got careless driving, 42 day ban and 180 quid fine - no points. but already had 6 points from a previous speeding offence

with regards to your 42 in a 30 -- yes mate its 3 points and 60 quid fine - i know as i got it the other month

i typed all this shit in the other post and some coont locked it

 

I got 3 points and £60 fine for doing 46 in a 30 one dinnertime it diddnt bother me that much, the fact that i was coming home from doin half a days overtime that i only got payed £40 at the time for did tho, in effect it cost me £20 to get out of bed that morning
