aaaaaaggggggghhhhhh ive had no sound on the pc for ages. Realised it was after we had to reinstall XP when the computer shat itself. Anyways i called the tech line from people the gf bought her comp from and they sent me link to reinstall the drivers etc. Did that and now i have sound but its fuckin quiet! ive gone into every damn menu/option that i can find and turned sound on max and still i need to crank up my stereo and can barely hear the sound over the interference noise of speakers being on too loud!

Realtek 97 audio is the device this machine seems to have. It all means nothing to me but its driving me mad because i cant listen to my mp3's or movies
