Default Any plumbers? Quick Q.

Lets get this bit out of the way... Im a fooking idiot from the Frank Spencer school of DIY that should never be allowed near a spanner again!

A couple of weeks ago i fitted new bath taps, I had several attempts at getting a water tight seal, but I thought Id done it.

Today - when i go to investigate the water running down the kitchen wall the connector on the hot tap was barely finger tight.

I am absolutely 100% utterly convinced I tightened that up. Is it possible that the heating and cooling of the pipes could loosen it? Or am I just clutching at straws to save my own embaressment?
