On a 4wd car you may have to use the handbrake and floor it in 1st to get you going, then it should just do the business from there

butfrom a stand still will do some damage more than likely, best bet to practise, etc, in a car park and in 1st, get going gently on full lock then hoof it and it should come round, evos doa a good 'knife throughthe top of teh car to the floor' type spin with all 4 wheels smoking off

on a cos 4x4 the handbrake is useless, on an evo 7 and avbove though, the handbrake disengages the diff to the rear wheels so yuo can lock them

Oh dear, I can see a stuffed Evo comming up if you decide to try it for the first time somewhere with no room for error Seriously find somewhere to practice which is empty!

Are you actually trying to do a doughnut or just spin the car through 180 degrees? Doughnutting takes absoultly no skill at all so should be pretty easy even if you've never done it before

Many of you will be shocked to realise then the amount of people who cant even donut a car!
Seems everyone thinks they know how, and its dead simple, but ive seen countless people just go round in tight circles with the tyres squeeling, even in RWD saffs and shit...

I dont think trains can do 180 turns can they?

Not a good place to try it unless its a REAL emergency.

It's not like most essential skill. I never really tried I must say. Form what I observed sitting in cars spinning without moving incirles is that you need to find correct steering angle, not really full lock, and operate the throttle correctly. Still some people can do it very well and some cannot because they never tried and it doesn't make them bad drivers. I even know some very good rallydrivers who say they never really did that (had a discussion about that some time ago). Waste of tire really...

its very hard to donut an evo you have to over come the over steer first,

ive just changed the centre diff ecu and still its not easy,it tends to slide like a front wheel drive to start with then once it gets tighter will start to donut with one wheel nearly standing still!!!

but watch as you tyres have lumps fall off
