I've just swapped my Series One on a D-plate for a P-reg BMW 323I Touring! Now sitting at my desk wondering why! I hadn't used the S1 for ages and needed something I could use through winter but I'm feeling really gutted now. Please tell me other people have done this and I'm not the only numpty in the world!
Probably deserve those levels of sympathy. Thinking use the BMW through winter while the 20v goes in my MK2 Golf then another Cossie may be the way to go. I better start saving - at least I shouldn't have any repair bills with the BMW to worry about
One of the guys already wants to buy the Touring off me. Just seen a pic of a beautiful Series 2 and was looking at Escort Cossies earlier. Getting a car you're really happy with is tough
I can sympathise on having an estate car mate as I have one but I wouldn't have swapped a S1 for one though. Have some fun in it though. It's great fun wasting the kids in their mums cars as they look horrified at being beaten by an estate car
Yep, it's the morning after and I still regret it. Despite driving in this morning with it starting first time, heaters all working and a bit of back end out into the work car park. Going to have to keep it, but think I'm going to start looking for a Cossie too. Thanks for the love guys!
Nothing wrong with owning a BMW touring i too have one although i am 40 The problem is the difference in value as i suspect the RS was worth a grand or so more than the bimmer
I'd had it up for sale but nobody seemed to want to go over £3k, but that was on e-bay so people hadn't seen how sweet it was in the flesh. At least the BMW had genuine BMW warranty replacement engine 40k miles ago. A small consolation in the cold harsh light of day
