Default What have I done?!

I've just swapped my Series One on a D-plate for a P-reg BMW 323I Touring! Now sitting at my desk wondering why! I hadn't used the S1 for ages and needed something I could use through winter but I'm feeling really gutted now. Please tell me other people have done this and I'm not the only numpty in the world!

Probably deserve those levels of sympathy. Thinking use the BMW through winter while the 20v goes in my MK2 Golf then another Cossie may be the way to go. I better start saving - at least I shouldn't have any repair bills with the BMW to worry about

Millsy, you tool. Should've kept the Golf as your daily shitter - bet the Touring lasts all of 2 weeks before you punt it on.

One of the guys already wants to buy the Touring off me. Just seen a pic of a beautiful Series 2 and was looking at Escort Cossies earlier. Getting a car you're really happy with is tough

I did stipulate to the guy who took it off me though that I get first refusal on buying it back if he ever sells it. A small ray of light then!

Hmm, yeah like that but black with tan leather and different wheels. They don't look as good as a Series 1 in pics do they!

I can sympathise on having an estate car mate as I have one but I wouldn't have swapped a S1 for one though. Have some fun in it though. It's great fun wasting the kids in their mums cars as they look horrified at being beaten by an estate car

If he's sensible then he'll never sell it or swap it for a BMW 323i touring

Silly boy................ tut tut wouldn't catch me swapping my S1 for a beaten up 1996 Beemer.......

still, there is some salvation that a) you might get the S1 back, or b) get a Cosworth.

Yep, it's the morning after and I still regret it. Despite driving in this morning with it starting first time, heaters all working and a bit of back end out into the work car park. Going to have to keep it, but think I'm going to start looking for a Cossie too. Thanks for the love guys!

I'd had it up for sale but nobody seemed to want to go over £3k, but that was on e-bay so people hadn't seen how sweet it was in the flesh. At least the BMW had genuine BMW warranty replacement engine 40k miles ago. A small consolation in the cold harsh light of day
