4WD cossie calipers will probably be better than standard sierra calipers.

Depending who is selling them as to the price.

They're only really better if you use the car to it's limit. I was very happy with the standard brakes on my Sapphire cossie, and only changed to AP 4 Pots after I'd done a few track days and found out what brake fade was all about. For the road, you'll be fine with the standard brakes if they're in good condition. On the road, they're perfect, ........ On the track, you'll realize that they can be improved on.

If you search hard, you should be able to pick up a pair of 330mm AP 4 Pots for about a grand..... Second Hand, but in VGC. Or about Twelve Hundred Quid for a new pair.

They really do hold their prices, even the good second hand ones.

as long as the disc is bigger then i suppose they have to be better.

Could buy grooved discs and decent pads, these will improve the performance of them.

right I had standard XR4x4(standard on S2's) brakes on my car for about 2 weeks ofter the 24v was put in. The fooker would not stop put cossie 4x4 disks and calipers and much better, but still shit on the track.

You wont get front or rear 4x4 brakes under 13 inch rims.

Bigger than standard sierra brakes then? I feel some technical trickery coming on here for the front anyhow! Are the 2wd Calipers better than 4wd?

You don't buy them every week though.

Bigger wheels,bigger brakes.

My car runs 13" rims and the AP set up all round fits in them nicely

keep a look out for a single seater brake set up as most use 13" wheels

try racecar.co.uk or racecarsdirect.com

You cannot see the discs and calipers as they are deep inside the wheel, but a decent Ap set up based on single seater kit will fit in a 13" rim

basically if you want better brakes under 13inch wheels you'll have to look at competition spec stuff, nothing from the ford parts bin will fit.
