Hmm, check out Tony Turbo's Resto thread, he went with a bright white....as you probably know there is about 99 different shades of diamond white!

When I painted my car with diamond white (the one on the sig), I noticed how grey it is when compared with something really really white. If I'd do it again I'd go for a brighter shade.

dont mean to be picky but

to lighten a white colour, its called tinting, you only shade down to a darker colour.

handbags at the chest"ooooooooooohhhh".

i know im right.

but in all fairness, try pearl white, gives a silvery effect

Mine was repainted in pure '00' white. Ford white has a tint of blue or yellow (can't remember which: Vaux have the other). Stood next to another S1, it looks a totally different colour. A lot brighter in the sun.

i used to have a mk3 all white convertible that was diamond white and got it resprayed in vauxhaull polar white, what a difference it was much brighter. i allways thought diamont white looks a bit creamy coloured compared to some other whites.

It does look creamy; diamond white has yellow tint in it.

(Bit like the cider...all the piss that's in it!!)
