The s1 and s2 fuel tanks are different.

I had to changemy S1 fuel tank becuse the spout for the hose coming from the tank to the fuel pump had worn thin and fuel was seaping through.

I have a fuel tank in Glasgow, it' the above said fuel tank, it woul dneed cleaned out and the spout repaired/sleeved if this is possible. new ones can be bought but im not sure where from, had trouble getting one myself and got 2nd hand eventually.

s2 s have three designs, the van model, the early 40ltr,and the later 45ltr,cant say bout the s1,but its defo different.ask your ford dude to piss you off, when you try and get him to find the microfiche parts list.mine does, but he comes up trumps.

S1 and S2 tanks have different attachment to the fuel filler neck and the sensor is in a completely different place. You can not interchange the filler necks nor the sensors.
