can anyone help me Looking at buying a series 1 on a b plate. its done over 100k and getting it cheap due to needing a new petrol tank and door needed for the m.o.t. Im buying it mainly for a toy/bit of fun whilst my cosworth is tucked up over winter. First of is there anyone out there that still sells genuine series 1 parts and If i decided it would cost me to much to maintain its looks/performance, is it then worth much if i broke it down and sold the parts seperatly????. Any comments would be helpful

 

Why the need to fit genuine parts ? - if you can find them that is.

The patterned parts are equally as good and if its tidy its value will remain roughly the same whatever.

Depends what parts are on it I suppose if and when you break it, but it would be easier to sell whole
