Kids stupidity at it's worst!
Received a call last night from a friend of ours who was rather shaken up by an incident on the A1m between Jct's 9 & 10. Some kids decided it was a good idea to throw a bike from a bridge onto the motorway
. Our friend broke but still hit the bike and the traffic was very close to a pile up. The police are treating the incident very seriously and were in all fairness very good and calmed her down as she was really rather distraught at the whole thing.
What is the matter with kids these days, somebody could have been killed FFS

A few months ago in Holland some "kids" decided to throw a brick of a bridge on to the motorway, result:brick went thru the wind-screen in to the drivers face (women)
Result:She died the same day.

Unfortunately, incidents like this are becoming more common:

just last week a couple of kids set fire to our back fence, if i hadnt of seen it and put it out in time the whole lot would of gone up as theres a shed right next to it which is covered by a massive tree and bushes was a really hot day so wouldnt of taken much to catch on.
similar thing happened to an apprentice at work, he was on his Suzuki Bandit motorbike on the A19 (dual carriageway) and some muppets threw a shopping trolley at him off a bridge, he braked n managed to miss it but got spat off the bike, and was off work for a while, kids like this only grow up to be worse, need a good beating i say!!!

I blame the parents for not giving a fuck and letting em run riot as do as they please, with no recrimination for their actions.
But I also blame the government for forcing some of the parents to be this way - you can't even smack your own kid for fear of being arrested and charged with abuse FFS - I got a fair few smacks when I was a nipper and it never did me any harm I'll say. And when I have kids and they step out of line, they'll get a smack aswell - and I don't give a fuck about the "abuse" law.....

Just imagine if a truck full of bricks crashed on a roundabout over a motorway and lost its load over the edge.
I guess the argument against it would be the fences being an eyesore. I guess CCTV on all major bridges would be an option but like you say Rich, why pay to put those in when the same money could be spent installing a bridge mounted gatso.
