but also consider what brakes you have or are going to get.
trust me, I ran 2 XR2's in a rally championship for 2 years and 15's are shiiiiiiite, 13" XR2 rims are fine, you'll power out of the corners much quicker and handle alot better. I ran standard halfords pads and drilled discs and never had any fade, but it was rally speeds, 40-70 mph, not track speeds, 80 mph+.

I've got 2 blue pepperpots with yoko A032's, Ł30, and about 5 more pepperpotts with tarmac slicks (maxisport I think) not enough tread for an MSA event, but ideal for track days, Ł30 , or Ł50 the lot if u pick up?

Ive recently switched from pepperpots to 15s on my runner, im under the impression that the 15's are better! im sure I was getting some tyrewall flex on the 13's
none of that on the 15's! might be the suspension though, as I did adjust that to about half way instead of soft.
I havent found the limit of my goodyear eagle F1s yet, the car sticks to the road like glue!
