too true!
The most important thing to find out Ginge is...........
how to get there!
They might have to usher you in to Malta under the cover of darkness and quickly send you down to a remote corner of the island behind closed doors!
Malta might keep tracks on the relationships of all their residents

I used to live in Malta mate...it's not what it used to be like though!
Immigration laws used to be incredibly strict, make no mistake, although it should be easier now.
10 to 15 years ago it was CHEAP like you wouldn't believe...only one trafficlight on the whole island and no seatbelt laws and so on: it was a very very backward place but pretty cool if you like that sorta thing.
It is a very limited place though: very very small so you'll soon know everybody and a lot of Maltese youths feel 'suffocated' because of it.
Nowaday's it's MUCH more modern and therefor much more expensive! Housing became 5 times more expensive and the day's that you could get pissed on a fiver are gone as well...
If your missus is Maltese you should be accustomed to the Maltese temperament: it's never a good idea to mix Arab and Italian blood lol Bit like crossing a pittbull with a Rottie PMSL!
As far as loving the Brits: it used to be a British colony for fuck's sake, that's not love you twat!
You'll find that a lot of Maltese actually spit on the Brits as they're very proud and still hold a grudge although they won't say it out loud as the Brits are now a source of income to them...
I've lived in St.Andrews (Now officially re-named Swieqi, that's how much they love the Brits!), Naxxar and San Pawl tat-targa.

Most of the Maltese will speak English except for the elderly sometimes and people from what could be considered the 'countryside'. You'll find some of them will also just REFUSE to speak English even though they can
Maltese is a hard language to learn but I'm sure you're missus could tutor you lol
Expect to pay over the odds for cabfare and all that as well being British
Also, it get's very very very HOT over there and in wintertime the place floods lol
It is a very different culture that really takes getting used to if you live there although it will be easier now than when I moved there.

SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU TWAT!
I love Maltese women though:
darkskinned, dark hair, sultry looks, lovely arses and tits
They're all catholics and during the day they wear their schoolgirluniforms and during the nights they turn into the things Steve's fantasies are made off: they will wear the shortest, skimpiest of skirts and lace bra's
From on the age of 13 they behave like proper slappers

I moved back because after a few years it was doing my head in: when you're on a holiday it all seems great but when you're actually living there you realise what an isolated place it really is.
At the time when the whole world had a VCR you still had to pay 4 times the normal price for example, bikeparts were a nightmare to get and everybody was still driving old Granada's with pink floyd plastered over the rearscreens
After a while you run out of places to go and it just did my head in.
Also I was with a Maltese woman and she did my head in
Still, I miss the place and sometimes think of going back but nowaday's it's just too expensive and jobs are hard to come by.

were gonna go there soon, that was the plan, i was ment to go a few years ago but the first week i had to work so the missus went without me and i was ment to meet her there but instead i spent the money on fitting a turbo engine in me cabrio
hooligan you aint kidding about religious bollox there, her grand parents have piccys of got and jesus in every room
its a very very laid back place ( and im a lazy fooker aswell rememeber)
you say its expensive to live there but honestly my missus came back with half the money i gave her went she went, ok she was staying with her aunts and grand parents ect but i was ipressed as she also had to leave clothes there top get her new clothes back
were gonna take a week there to see if i can get away with the hot temps there
the english thing aint a prob as they all speak english and living in london ya get used to talking to people and them not replying in english anwyay but they still do a proper job on washing me car so ive never held that against em
ive also noticed the price of property has gone up alot, we was gonna buy a shell of a house 5 years ago when we first met for 25k and her family ( all builders and boxers
) where gonna fit the electrics and the water supply
but i pulled out as i didnt wanna leave this great country that i was stupid enough to think looked after me
calls to malta are a fooking mare too, hence why we aint spoke to em as the maltease never stop talking
we spoke aboiut it to her dad last time and the first thing he done the next day was booked us a flight to go there open return
but hes gonna retire in a few years and move back so if we ask he the fooker will sell our flat and drive us there before he has hes dinner
what i was thinking abotu is when moving to another country what have i got to take into consideration, visa's, mastercard, passport, work permit, imagrant status ( ill be the imagrant for once
)
dont talk to me about a maltease temper either
her family are a nightmare when they get going and her old man whos a proper grafter and nice guy fooking switch's big time
, he was also a boxer too so i tend not to get on the wrong side of him
last thing, when ya was saying about old granadas ect her grandad still has a mk3 cortina that hes soo proud to own, he sounds like Dell Trotter talking about his capri ghia

Getting on with the heat is allright for a week or so...try it for months on end, that's when it becomes hart mate!
Also: you aren't too pleased with the way England's run...go and check out the Maltese political system...
How about croocked cops? trust me: they get away with a lot more than they would in England...and it's funny how you said you would be the immigrant for once because believe me if they're still ANYTHING AT ALL like they used to be they will make you feel like one too...
I don't mean to discourage you: Malta can be a great place but make no mistake: it ain't as easy and laidback as you might think...I can tell you a lot of horrorstories mate...things I wouldn't have believed if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.
