Also same as above but would also advise to rig a switch inside your motor so you can control your fans to run when driving in hot weather or sitting in traffic, just for peace on mind!

The cossie fan switch cuts the fans in earlier, and the 82 degree thermostat i cant see how much difference that will make,
AFAIK all it will do is alow the water to circulate ealier from cold, so will warm up quicker. Once upto temperature the stat will stay open so no longer of use.

82degree thermostat, cossie fan switch, manual fan overrride switch etc. all just delay the overheating. They don't improve the cooling one bit. I would also like to know actual solutions to the problem. With my GRS the temps sometimes climb close to the red area. In extream cases I just open the sunroof, turn the interior fan to max and turn up max heat. That will avoid the overheating of hte engine, but it will overheat the driver instead.

The secret is my intercooler doesnt cover my radiator, the needle never goes above the temp gauge in traffic and sits at 1/3rd up the gauge when moving.

I have an over ride switch for the fan inside incase im stuck in traffic for a LONG time but i never need to use it

My intercooler:

i have just wired in a switch my fan, and totally removed the option to have it work on its own , now its up to me when my fan comes on, i reckon i might have to get another fan , but for the time being im well happy.
