fuel filler neck,wots the two pipes for?and the little button on the internal neck on the right?

 

Two pipes?

Well you have the filler neck which goes into the tank, the other thin pipes are breather / ventilation pipes iirc. The other one goes to the other end of the tank.

 

thought about that when i was under my car the other day!

 

aye for sure,the two big pipes are fuel filler and breather,its the other two little thin ones,near the filler neck.at the back of the philips screw,on your cap mount,behind that,theres a squarish box with two pipes emulating from it,one has a strange,cap on the end, ????? when you lock your cap,the latch pushes in a little steel button,wots it for,?

reason im asking is,my locking shroud has totally gone now,the only way to repair is to fit a new funnel into the pipe proper,thus pushing in the button for good,and having a real alloy fuel cao mounted to the side to cover the hole.
