Default Replacement Ford Expansion Tank

My expansion tank developed a slight crack, letting out some steam at high temps.

Went into Ford, gave the right model and year, found said item on MicroCat, double checked model and ordered.

It turned up today, looked great.

Tried to fit it and its a good inch taller, the screw holes dont line up and its got a funny "hollow" on the bottom.

Basically, its carp

Anyone had similar probs, is the right one still available?

there were 2 expansion tanks, 90 specs or later 90 specs had different holes in the inner wing to screw the tank onto. there 'should' be another tank listed for your car.

Even though the holes dont line up, it will never fit, its an inch taller LOL

I reckon its for a Mk5

Mine was 23+vat.

Mines an 89, not 90 spec.

Im going back tomorrow, going to go armed with a code that I may have aquired off MicroCat and make sure I get the right one LOL
