Default New shape Fiesta Stereo question....

On the new fiesta can you simply removed the cassette parts of the 3 split system and replace it with a ford cd section from a higher model???

if so whats involved does it simply pull out in individual sections similar to a normal din size stereo????

To put a normal din sized stereo in you need to buy an adaptor form ford/halfords/net etc ... once you have the adaptor, (which is basically got a slot for your average sized cd player, and another slot that can be used for whatever) you have to cut the horizontal bars on the dash, where the ford CD player was, and file them off at the edges, then simply slot the adaptor in the space, and fire the cd player in as normal.

Hmm.. im guessing the three separate parts should just pop out individually? then the new parts will pop in where the old bits were? Just a case of wiring it up after that?

Sorry guys

Same stereo as is also in the new Free landers.

Dash apart job and from memory (cuz I refuse to take em out now) its all in one piece behind the dash. Its designed so you dont fuck with it.

cheers

You can buy the parts from ford it listed for when sat nav is fitted as on option but you need to buy a heater stereo bezal dash section. and the radio din section which comes with a coin tray under the stereo.

Also make the dash look a lot better

TBH you can get away with cutting the bars out on the dash section

dash heater stereo section 1148612 £33.81 +vat

stereo insert din 1222161 £26.34 +vat
