Depends greatly on the spec of the engine and the skill of the driver. It's not all about the engine you have to take into account suspension and brakes, A good setup is equal to 20bhp in the straights. You will be able to corner quicker and brake later which is advantagous.

Would think a genuine 200bhp XR2T would be quite a weapon

I myself have a 250bhp RST and my bro has a 200-210bhp FRST. It's closer than you might think. I only see him off properly once 4th gear is picked up

but the cooler is bout 2-3 inches shorter than original.
would be nice for early 14's
be well chufed if i get v.late 13's
but knowin my luck ill get worse

ive got the best part of 200bhp and its stripped out and fooking quick! in 2nd and 3rd i havent felt anything much quicker FWD wise. I ve raced/beaten Mr2 turbo, BMW 3-everything, brand new 6 series, Type-r civic...few other things!

I think mines over 200 but it hasnt been Dyno'd at its current spec.
Im hoping to get into mid 13's this year. It did 13.9 a few years back. Its a fair bit quicker now but currently got a misfire dont think its anything serious though, I just havent had time to fiddle with it
