Default Help 1.9l with OFAB efi

Has anybody on here put a 1.9l engine in a fiesta turbo with ofab management? i need to know if it will run without mapping the ecu, i know for optimum power it will require mapping but for now should it be driveable without it
Cheers, mark

EEC-iv management knows the engine displacement and it uses this to calculate the injector duration, if you change the displacement but not the calibration it'll not get the AF ratios right. The OFAB ecu doesn't have a HEGO sensor and you won't get any adaptive learning to help compensate.

Thanks for that mate so the only way to get this running properly is to have it mapped? where is the best place to get this done?
Cheers, Mark

Just because an engine runs doesn't mean you aren't harming it. If you can find a tuner who has mapped the same spec engine as yours they should be able to do a 'safe' running in map without seeing the car. You might even find a tuner who would give a partial refund on the cost of the running in chip if you then went to them for a proper mapping after running in.
