Default MK 6 degree beam handbrake question

Just after some advice from those of you who have fitted the mk beam on their cossie, how did you secure your hand brake to the beam as mines doesn’t have the same holes as the original?

Cheers

This is mine, didn't know what else to do apart from cable ties!

I am a bit concerned that it could get trapped at full suspension compression and might have to re-think it...

Mines is same as yours mark, a bit annoying tbh, I was thinking about tapping a hole on the beam and using a p clip

That pic makes sense. It didn’t figure on my 205 as the shell is so different. Sorry it did not occur to me

On the recent retro power vid they said they have stopped using the rubber boots as they caused premature wear by holding in dirt and moisture as they aged.

He said in the video that perished rubber boots trap water and also said that no boot would wear the joints. I have had less then 2 year old rod ends completley worn out with out boots on and no they weren't cheap rod ends. Also there is a possible proble with MOT compliance as suspension joints need as the joints need dust boots fitted.
