Default 300hp CVH Rs Turbo .

Anyone that can tell me what 300hp is like in a s2 Rs turbo ? ..mine goes for mapping on the 5th of December ..I'm having the power capped at around 300hp ..I've gone for traction control and boost by Gear so hopefully I can get the thing going quick In the right direction . If that doesn't work I'll happily bring the power down some more to get it putting the power down right .

Mine scares me at times, decent tyres are a must, it was almost at 300bhp at the old spec, think its about 285 at the minute awaiting proper boost control mapping to then exceed 300bhp.

Certainly good fun though.

Edit to add obviously im not on a cvh but the power level is relevant.

I've got R888s but may change them ..I'm hoping the TC gets the car going up the road a lot faster than I could without it..I will also once done have a Night At MSD and see if we can tweak the map and boost curve to aid traction etc .

If you end up going to MSD let me know and if I can get time it would be nice to see the car.

I've got a bit of a boost spike on mine till I get the boost control operating, TBH I quite like the spike.

Should be good mate traction control will sort the biggest problem torque steer do you have link bars at the rear? Bump steering under hard braking was the other thing I found made it fun though lol

I've nothing fitted yet ..but I've got a zoo motorsport ARB to fit and some adjustable Tca's and some rear adjustable tie rods and have the cars camber set up for fast road.

Talk to ian Howell for some sperhical bearing lower arms as your biggest problem will be torque steer without a doubt Matt . I don't know if anywhere else makes them but I added them to my old fiesta zetec turbo running around 300 bhp and it transformed the car

cheers paul

I had a 300hp series 2 some years back now and it was a hoot to drive!
very quick little car, there was not much about on the road that could touch me tbh.

I had no traction control or boost by gear etc so was a hadlful especially at launch but I really do miss it.
Was an animal of a car

Cheers Paul

Yeah I had no abs either, I removed all that rubbish.

I had a stage 2+ cts box in mine, never gave me any trouble at all

Thanks for the info guys ..it's good fun fighting but this whole build is about getting up the road as quick as it can ..I'm told the TC and boost by Gear will help lots and be far quicker than I could peddle it up the road if that makes sense ..I've got an IB5 with same spec as a CTS stage 2+ with a bit extra work done to it ..I'm also told the TC and boost by Gear is box friendly .

That was a 300 bhp 1.9 CVH NMS mapped rs turbo and the 4x4 Sapphire was around 380/390 bhp. OK the Sapph was 4 up and the RS turbo had no back seats, but it gives you a bit of an idea of it's speed. Obviously off the line the turbo didn't stand a chance lol. The video isn't great but from memory they let off at 140/150mph.

I maxed my old car out at 157mph and that was only a 1600 cvh so they can give stuff a good run for their money at the top end too

Cheers Paul

sorry I have no pics

It will be awesome no matter which way you look at it lol...

Did you manage to get a price on the ARB setup?

Paul, might you be talking about the Mk3 fiesta lower arms that Ian did? When I spoke to him about ERST ones, he said he didnt do them

Proper motorsport traction control and you can map it to get no wheelspin what so ever. It's much faster than wheel spinning and adjusts ignition to pull torque so it's utterly seamless.

I run Syvecs on my car and it's immense.
