Default 18inch wheels on Escort Cosworth

Evening all,

Looking at 18's for the Escort but was wondering what is required to get 18's on. Car has standard suspension. Hear most like an ET of 15 so guessing that brings the wheels out a little. Would it rub on standard suspension or just sit too high and worth getting a lowing kit and dampers?

Thanks in advanced.

You can put them straight on but depends on width and et ,but you could always run a spacer if tyres too wide etc

Cool so theres space in the arch for the size. Do we know what the best size is? Will it look high with standard suspension.?

People do put them on with standard suspension, but it will look too high.

It`s old used oe springs and avo dampers on that picture. I have Ahmed springs and bilstein b6 on the shelf for here. I use 234/40 a bit higher then 225/40 or 235/35 as i`v seen on some other escos
